The Rehgraben 1 well, located south of Loipersdorf, was drilled by RED Drilling & Services GmbH to a depth of 1-,140 meters. Its purpose is to provide the Loipersdorf Thermal Spa with thermal water from the sand/sandstone horizons of the Upper Badenian formation.
To assess the hydraulic properties of the aquifer and potential impacts on neighboring deep wells, a long-term pumping test lasting 7.5 months with four different pumping stages was conducted. During this period, the water levels of several artesian wells and thermal water probes in the surrounding area were monitored.
The hydraulic evaluation of the pumping test and the assessment of the monitoring were carried out by Hydro GmbH. The results showed that the pumping test at the Rehgraben 1 well had no discernible effects on nearby artesian wells or external/internal thermal water wells.
